Charlie is completing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Pittsburgh while working as a strength coach and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Stout Training Pittsburgh. This provides him with the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals in both a healthcare and performance setting. The path to Pittsburgh truly started in the Virginia Tech olympic sports weight room during his last semester in college. Here, Charlie had the opportunity to work with swimmers, wrestlers, baseball and softball teams, men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, and more. After graduation, he spent a few years working stints as a physical therapy aide, a strength and conditioning coach at a private sports performance facility, and personal training at a large health club in Reston, Virginia. You can find his personal website HERE and his Instagram page HERE as he regularly publishes free content. Currently, his most important project involves helping coordinate the training of athletes with disabilities involved in competitive sports. Tune in by following the Mighty Penguins and Pittsburgh SteelWheelers.
